Gables Central Park

The Turtle Rock at Gables Central Park

  The Gables Central Park is located behind the Central Market on Lamar and 38th street.  The park sits between the playground for Central Market and the Gables Apartment Homes. There are dirt rock trails and  work out stations that surround a turtle pond. The atmosphere is very peaceful. There are many spots for the people to relax and just escape for a minute. There are dirt paths, cement picnic tables,  gas lamps, and metal benches throughout the park.

 I would say the turtle rock, at the center of the pond, is one of the main attractions. When I went, I spotted about 12 turtles sunbathing on it!
